El viernes, 18 de mayo de 2012, a las 12 horas, en el Salón de Grados de la Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros de Telecomunicación de la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid se va a impartir la conferencia titulada Noruega: La belleza de sus fiordos y la excelencia de su investigación. Presentación de SINTEF, sus líneas de investigación. Oportunidades de cooperación y de financiación conjunta e intercambios a cargo de Joe Gorman (SINTEF, Norway).

SINTEF is the largest independent research organisation in Scandinavia, with more of 2100 employers from 67 different countries. They are focus on the creation of value through knowledge generation, research and innovation, and develop technological solutions that are brought into practical use. SINTEF is a broadly based, multidisciplinary research concern that possesses international top-level expertise in technology, medicine and the social sciences. Ways of cooperation between SINTEF and UPM institutions will be explore during this conference.

Mr. Joe Gorman is a senior research scientist within SINTEF’s ICT department, in the field of Software Engineering, with 25 years active experience in research. From 1989 he has been involved in numerous Commission-funded RTD projects in all possible different roles: as a technical project participant, WP leader, project Coordinator, evaluator of project proposals, independent reviewer of running projects, consultant to assist the Commission during contract negotiation, and official Commission Project Officer.
