The Bachelor constitutes, together with the Master of Telecommunication Engineering, adaptation to the new regulatory framework established by the Organic Law 4/2007 of modifying the Act and Royal Decree 1393 / 2007 establishing the organization of official university education, title of Telecommunications Engineer who has been taught in ETSIT-UPM since its founding in 1957.
Its immediate precedent is the degree in Telecommunications Engineering (P-94) taught in ETSIT-UPM from 1994 until 2014-15 year. The degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (P-94) has been accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), and has full recognition to Masters level.
The ETSIT-UPM is the dean of the School of Telecommunications Engineering studies in Spain and a center of national and international in the field of teaching reference, research and technological development and innovation in the area of Information Technology and Communications (ICT). The ETSIT-UPM has close relations and contract research and educational collaboration with leading companies in the ICT field at national and international levels, with a very active participation in projects financed by the EU framework program and the National Plan I + D + i.
The ETSIT-UPM is committed to continued leadership in educational innovation, tutorial attention to new students and accreditation of institutional quality and governmental programs.
Infrastructure and research productivity: 33 recognized research groups, 340 articles published annually, 35-40 doctoral theses per year, 15 Chairs Company, 146 research projects underway, the order of 15 million per year in revenue for projects research.
