El Instituto de Energía Solar  organiza una conferencia a cargo del Dr. Iñigo Ramiro (IES-UPM) y que lleva por título “Colloidal Quantum Dot Intraband Optoelectronics”.

 

Iñigo Ramiro obtained his Telecommunications Engineer Degrees from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM, Spain) and the Institut National des Télécommunications (France) in 2008, and his PhD in Photovoltaic Solar Energy at the IES-UPM in 2015. His PhD work was devoted to the study of third generation solar cells based on epitaxial quantum dots. During his postdoctoral stay (2017 - 2019) at the Institute of Photonic Sciences (ICFO, Spain) he has steered his research towards colloidal quantum dots (CQDs) and their use in optoelectronic applications such as photovoltaics, photodetection and light emission. In particular, he has focused on the characterization of intraband transitions in CQDs, with the aim of contributing to the development of novel infrared optoelectronic devices. In the end of 2019, Dr. Ramiro joined back the IES-UPM. The lecture will give an overview of his latest research.
