Traineeships in a Department, in a Group or in a Research Institute of ETSIT-UPM

I. Erasmus+ Programme

a. If you want to do a traineeship at ETSIT-UPM in the framework of Erasmus+ Programme you must first contact your home International Office and make sure that your Home University is a Member of Erasmus+ . You must read carefully the call for Erasmus+ Traineeships and meet the requirements established by your home University.

b. The international Office of your home University must nominate you by e-mail to international.etsit@upm.es

c. Then, you must find at ETSIT a Professor that will supervise your work. Please find information about our Institutes Research Centers as well as our Research Groups. Send us your CV and a motivation letter as well as 3 research groups of ETSIT you are interested in doing your internship with.

d. The international Office will contact the Professors of the interested research groups and let you know.

Duration of the Traineeship: between 2 and 12 months.

Application deadline: 2 months before the beginning of the Traineeship.

Start of the Traineeship: To be concreted with your Professor Supervisor at ETSIT-UPM.

IMPORTANT: The academic year at ETSIT-UPM ends July 31st. 

e. Once you have found out a Professor that agrees to supervise your traineeship at ETSIT, we will send you the link of our application where you will have to upload the following documents:

• ETSIT Applicaion form

• Motivation Letter

• Curriculum Vitae (in Spanish or English)

• Learning Agreement for Traineeships duly completed and signed by the home Institution Coordinator

• Copy of valid passport or national identity card

• Copy of the policy insurance Oncampus*

 *Students must be covered for the entire period of their stay at ETSIT. They have to contract Oncampus insurance: www.oncampus.es  and upload a copy of the policy and proof of purchase.

Application process must be ended before the deadline.

PLEASE NOTE:

The International Office can only process COMPLETE application packages.

The previous documents are required for admission and registration purposes.

Once enrolled, the student will receive the ETSIT-UPM student card and a UPM e-mail account.

Additional information:

A Traineeship will not give the student any ECTS credits as no official defense of the research work will take place at ETSIT-UPM. Therefore, the student will not receive a transcript of records at the end of his/her exchange mobility. The learning agreement "after the mobility" will be completed by the student together with his/her Professor Supervisor and signed by the Vice-Dean for International Relations and Corporate Partnership.

II. Traineeships out of Erasmus+ Programme

If you want to join a Group, a Department or an Institute of ETSIT-UPM to do a traineeship, we will be glad to welcome you!

a. Contact the International Office of your Home University to collect information.

b. The international Office of your home University must nominate you by e-mail to international.etsit@upm.es

The international office will validate the report of the Supervisor by stamping the document.
