Objectives

The basic aim of the qualification is the scientific, technological and socio-economic training of graduates and their preparation for professional practice in the development and implementation of Information and Communications Technology in the field of telecommunication and other activities the demand. The level reached in this training must be at least that enable graduates to fulfill the profession of Telecommunications Engineer, as provided in the Order CIN / 355/2009.

Namely, the objectives of Title agree with the objectives specified in Order CIN / 355/2009 fixing that students should acquire the following skills:

  • OBJ1: Ability to design, calculate and design products, processes and facilities in all areas of telecommunications engineering
  • OBJ2: Capacity for project management and facilities of telecommunication systems, complying with current legislation, ensuring the quality of service.
  • OBJ3: Ability to lead, plan and supervise multidisciplinary teams.
  • OBJ4: Capacity for mathematical modeling, calculation and simulation technology and engineering companies, particularly in research, development and innovation in all areas related to Telecommunications Engineering and related fields multidisciplinary centers.
  • OBJ5: Capacity for development, strategic planning, direction, coordination and technical and financial management of projects in all fields of Telecommunications Engineering following quality and environmental criteria.
  • OBJ6: Capacity for the overall direction, technical direction and project management research, development and innovation in business and technology centers.
  • OBJ7: Capacity for implementation, and management of manufacturing processes for electronics and telecommunications, with a guarantee of security for people and goods, the final quality of the products and their approval.
  • OBJ8: Ability to apply the acquired knowledge and solve problems in new or unfamiliar environments within broader contexts and mulitidisciplinares, being able to integrate knowledge.
  • OBJ9: Ability to understand the ethical responsibility and professional ethics of the activity of the profession of Telecommunications Engineer.
  • OBJ10: Ability to apply principles of economics and management of human resources and projects, as well as legislation, regulation and standardization of telecommunications.
  • OBJ11: Ability to communicate (oral and written) the conclusions-and the knowledge and rationale underpinning public skilled and unskilled in a clear and unambiguous.
  • OBJ12: Possess skills for lifelong learning, self-directed and autonomous
  • OBJ13: Knowledge, understanding and ability to apply the necessary legislation in the exercise of the profession of Telecommunications Engineer

Program Educational Objectives

Graduates in the Master in Telecommunication Engineering will have:

MPEO1   

The ability to apply technical and scientific knowledge for research, development, innovation and management in multidisciplinary environments, to generate and transfer new technological knowledge, and to lead complex projects in services, systems, equipments and components in Information and Communication Technologies and related fields.

MPEO2   

The ability to successfully practice the Telecommunication Engineer profession, including normative, regulative and ethical issues, being aware of the economical and social context.
